September 6, 2003: 6 days old (in Mommy's words)   I had to return to see the doctor on 8/27, 8/29 and 8/31 for non stress stress testing, bio physical profiles, and lab work.  I was almost re-admitted on 8/29, but since the doc was on call on 8/31 he let me go home, but he warned me that chances were good that I’d be re-admitted on 8/31.  Baby B (Evalynn) did not completely pass the bio physical and NST (rates were not increasing—showing very little activity), which meant that she was showing signs of stress.  The doctor decided to do the c-section that afternoon.

So, on Sunday, August 31, 2003 at 34 weeks, 5 days gestation via C-Section delivery…..

Evalynn Kathleen was born at 3:51pm (Central time), weighing 2 lb, 12 oz and measuring 16 inches long. (Baby B in utero, delivered as Baby A)

Elizabeth Catherine was born at 3:52 pm at 5 lbs and measuring 18 inches long. (Baby A in utero, delivered as Baby B)

Here's what Mommy looked like just before the c-section.

Both girls are still in the NICU.  They both lost their IV’s today and started bottle feeding last night.  We hope to have Elizabeth (Lizzie) home within the next week or two and Evalynn (Lynn) will be a couple weeks longer than that, probably closer to the 10/7 due date.  I was released from the hospital on Wednesday and have been staying at a guest house run by the hospital auxiliary (NICU parents are given a priority, especially if nursing).

Tonight is my first night home away from the hospital.  Kind of a rough night, feeling like I’m being a bad mom by being this far away.  Today is my oldest’s 13th birthday, so we wanted to try to make it special.  We even bought him a card from his new sisters.  I think he had tears in his eyes.  It was touching.  The card was cute.  Had two identical kittens with different colored ribbons.  I wrote each girls name on each ribbon.  The card said “happy birthday, from cute & cuter!

The C-Section itself was a bit rough.  It took a few attempts to get the spinal anesthetic going.  It wasn't the fault of the anesthesiologist.  First, he had to hit a moving target.  My legs started shaking uncontrollably.  The two gals in with me couldn't even hold me down.  Then there was my large belly so I couldn't arch my back enough.  To top it all off, they had to deal with my curved spine.  Spinals are harder to insert if you have scoliosis (I warned him ahead of time).   The pulling and pushing felt odd.  The girls were out in no time.  It took forever to stitch back up.  Afterwards, I was on Magnesium Sulfate (to prevent seizures as pre-eclampsia can worsen postpartum) and morphine.  Apparently I kept telling Michael to pick the apples from the walls and kept asking the nurses how many times I could hit the button.   I was kept in labor and delivery until the next day, when I was taken off the meds.  I was then moved to postpartum and got to get wheeled to the NICU to see the girls for the first time.  Evalynn's size was sure overwhelming at first.  She'll look perfect once fattened up, which is exactly what they do.  This part of the protocol in the NICU is actually called the Fat Farm.  I am below my prepregnancy weight.  I gained 19 pounds and have lost about 25.  There is a lot of 'twin skin' left to lose, so I'm not even close to where I want to be.

There are very few pictures of the delivery and immediately after birth.  The cameras did not make it with us and many of the pictures from the disposable camera did not develop.  Only a very few from the disposable were salvageable.  Thanks to John and Elena for taking pictures when they came up, which was when the girls were just a few hours old.

Here's a picture of the girls taken today at 6 days old....

September 7, 2003: 7 days old (in Mommy's words) We received some really good news today.  We spoke to the NICU doctor.  He told us that we may be able to bring Elizabeth home by the end of the week.  The doctor was thinking as early as Wednesday, but no later than Friday!  That was sooner than we expected.  I was really beginning to question why they'd need to keep her up there much longer since she's taking to drinking from a bottle.  Five of her eight feedings on Saturday were from the bottle.  Evalynn had four of eight from the bottle.  Evalynn was a bit tired today, so she was harder to feed.  Daddy is able to keep them both awake long enough to feed.  Whenever Mommy tried, they both slept like logs!  Daddy said that I'll be perfect for the night time feedings.  When we got home today, we started getting things ready around the house and installed the car seat into the Durango.  The NICU needs to test Elizabeth in the car seat prior to releasing her (they check heart and respiratory rates with them in the car seat).   Evalynn will not be able to come home until she reaches 4 pounds.  With last nights weighing, Evalynn weighed 2lb, 14oz and Elizabeth weighed 4lb, 12 oz.  The doctor is going to vigorously increase Evalynn's feedings so she'll be gaining weight quicker than she already has been.  Both girls will have to be on a special preemie formula.  Elizabeth is suggested to stay on it until she reaches 10 pounds and Evalynn should stay on until she is six months old.  The formula is supplementing the expressed milk.  Since Evalynn is the smaller baby, she has been receiving all the expressed milk.  Once the production increases (could be up to two weeks with all my pregnancy complications), they both should be able to get some.  If Elizabeth goes home, we'll need to spend the previous night rooming in with her.  If something happens overnight, the nurses are in the next room and will be able to monitor the baby's vitals.

Off for more sleep.  I'll hopefully be spending the next couple nights with the girls.  Daddy goes back to work on Tuesday.

September 11, 2003: 11 days old (in Mommy's words) Elizabeth came home today.  I roomed in with her at the hospital last night.  Elizabeth is back up to her birth weight (5lbs) and Evalynn is up to 3 lbs even.  I'm still trying to pump breast milk for Evalynn, but it's not going as well as I'd like.  It's actually quite discouraging.  There is definitely not enough for both of them.  The doctors are wanting Evalynn to get the milk I do pump and they supplement it with high calorie formula (Similac's NeoSure).  Elizabeth is also on NeoSure.  I tried giving Elizabeth breast milk a couple of times.  She wants nothing to do with it.

Big sister got to hold Elizabeth for the first time tonight.  They wouldn't let the kids (Dan's afraid to hold her), hold her in the NICU.

I'll now be spending the days at home and Michael or myself will be going down to Urbana to see Evalynn.  The nurses keep telling us that it's ok if we can't make it some days and understand that it's a 3 hour round trip (85 miles one way).  It still doesn't make me feel any better that one of our babies is so far away and I fear that she'll have problems bonding with us when she does come home.

Mommy got to witness Daddy giving Lizzie a bath tonight.  This is a picture of Lizzie's first bath at home!

September 15, 2003: 15 days old (in Mommy's words) Things are going great at home with Elizabeth.  She eats every 3 to 4 hours.  She eats and sleeps much better if we can stretch her toward the 4 hour mark.  I always read how much preemies sleep, but I guess I never realized or understood it.  She's only up for about an hour (most times less) when she's up to eat.  She sleeps the rest of the time (approx 18 hours a day!).  I try to get some napping in when she does, but I've also been working on cleaning up the house and continuing where everyone left off with the babies room.

Yesterday was the first day that we didn't go down to see Evalynn.  It was rough.  We did call last night (after the 9:30 weigh in) to see how she was doing.  She's up to 33 cc's a feeding (as a comparison, she started out with 3 cc's when she was a couple days old).  She weighed in at 3 lbs, 5 oz.  She's five ounces away from moving out of the incubator into an open crib.  She gains about an ounce a day, so hopefully that will happen around Friday.  She's also doing well bottle feeding.  We're hoping that after a few day's of being in the open crib, maintaining her body heat without losing too much weight, she'll be able to come home a week later.  She also must be eating everything out of the bottle and not getting leftovers through her feeding tube.  We did change bottles, which really seems to help, so she's not struggling to eat.  The hospital uses Avent bottles which apparently make you work for your goods.  The nurses asked us to bring in one of our Playtex nursers (the ones with the liners).  It worked great and she took to it immediately.  We also switched Lizzie when we came home.  She even eats better.

I have my post c-section appointment with the OB specialist tomorrow.  Hopefully, I'll be released to drive.  I seem to be healing OK.  I'm still quite sore, but I think I try to overwork myself.  Yeah, maybe pulling weeds is not a wise idea.  I had to do something since my gardener was on hiatus this year (me!).  The house seems to be surrounded in a jungle!  Even though I did no garden planting, we had a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes and wild flowers.  They all came back from last year.

Lizzie has her 2 week well baby checkup with the pediatrician Wednesday.  Here's a picture of her after finding her thumb yesterday....

Mommy is going to get a nap.    We have been taking pictures, but there hasn't been much time to post any.  Hopefully when things settle down and all the babies are home (we're not spending 3 hours a day on the road), we'll be able to get some out.  I will try to get updates out here weekly.  There may be some weeks where there's no time, especially when the girls decide there's more to do around here than to eat and sleep!

September 16, 2003: 16 days old (in Mommy's words) We went to see Evalynn today.  She is looking so much better.  We were surprised to hear that she gained 3 ounces in two days!  She is now up to 3lbs, 8oz!!!!  We're really hoping that she'll be moved to an open crib by the end of the week.  Every time we ask when it will happen, it seems that we get a different story.  Some nurses said when they reach 3lbs, 10oz and now they say when they can maintain their body temp.  We're getting used to it.  It's not the first time we've gotten a different story.

I went for my 2 week post c-section appointment today.  All is well and I'm healing nicely.  I'm now able to drive with extreme caution.  Lifting restrictions have been increased to 20 pounds.   All other activity (other than walking) is still restricted until I'm released in 4 weeks.  The doc did say I can try to do things gradually, but to be extremely careful.  Hemorrhaging is a huge concern at this point.  There's a good percentage of twin moms who end up with hysterectomies due to hemorrhaging.   It's hard not to return to my 'old' self yet.  There's so much I'd like to get done that I haven't been able to do in months (like weeding---the gardener needs to come out of hibernation).

Well, it's after midnight and I really should be sleeping (since everyone else is...for now).  For some reason, I have problems sleeping when I should be (I can't sleep).

September 17 2003: 17 days old (in Mommy's words) Elizabeth went for her first pediatrician appointment today.  She is up to 5 lbs, 5 oz and is doing great.  The doctor said that since she's gained a good amount of weight since leaving the hospital, there is no reason to continue waking her up for night feedings (she'd sleep through if we'd let her!).

Daddy went down to see Evalynn tonight.  Hopefully he'll come back with some good pictures.  She's really looking a lot better than she was (she's pudging up!).  I think she has Daddy's lips and Elizabeth has Mommy's.

I gave up pumping today.  The lack of milk flow was getting really depressing.  Now the joke between Daddy and I are that I have "Milk Duds".  The doctor really wasn't expecting much due to all I'd been through.  The infertility, pre-eclampsia, hypertension and gestational diabetes all has their toll on milk production.  At least I gave it a shot.  Evalynn received most of it since she needed it more.

Daddy just called from the hospital.  Evalynn is up to 3 lbs, 10 oz!!!  Hopefully she'll get out of that incubator soon.  Apparently (we keep getting different stories), she's being weaned off the incubator.  That means that they're lowering the temperature closer to air temp.  She is now taking 6 of 8 feedings a day from the bottle.  We really hope at this rate that she'll be home by late next week.  Here's a picture that he took of her.  That is Daddy's hand touching her head.  I'm now starting to see the differences between the two girls.

Also, here's a picture with her partially dressed.  She's just now starting to wear some clothes.  She didn't need to in the heated incubator.

September 18 2003: 18 days old (in Mommy's words)Elizabeth slept well last night.  She fell asleep around 11:00 pm and woke at 3:30 am.  Then she slept from 4:00 am to 9:00 am.

Here's a picture I made up with recent pictures of both girls.  I always put Evalynn on the left in case anyone is wondering.

Ok, I think we're going to need to create a new page with just pictures :).

I think Elizabeth likes the swing that Great Grandma Gass and Great Aunt Julie bought for Mommy's shower.  Mommy just loves this swing.  It's easy to move around the house with it.

September 20 2003: 20 days old (in Mommy's words) Evalynn is getting moved to an open crib this afternoon!!!!!  Bye bye incubator!!! Last night she weighed in at almost  3lbs, 14oz.  She's still quite sleepy so she doesn't take many bottles.  I hope that by moving her to the crib, she'll start waking up.  Her feedings are up to 40cc's a feeding.

We'll be heading up tonight to see her.  I'm so glad to see her move to a crib.  That's one more step towards coming home!  It was really getting depressing seeing her in the incubator.

We have a nursery!!!  I got all of Mitzi's stuff cleaned out of the room yesterday and reorganized.  The rest of the house is starting to come back together.  Eleven weeks of bed rest will really rip up a house.

Grandma & Grandpa Wilson are bringing Mitzi's new loft bed down this afternoon.  Grandpa Wilson has spent a lot of time working on it.  Thanks Grandpa!!!  Here's a picture of Mitzi's new bed.

We also went to see Evalynn.  She's doing great.  It just seems that she doesn't get pushed enough to eat from a bottle.  I guess the nurses were not able to get her to drink much (under 15cc's).  Daddy got her to drink 27cc's!!!

Here's a picture of her out of her incubator (sleeping of course)....

September 21 2003: 21 days old (3 WEEKS!!!) (in Mommy's words) Grandma & Grandpa Wilson came back this morning with Aunt Marjorie and Aunt Patty (they also brought Mitzi back home).  They brought more stuff.  Marjorie made a Green Bay Packer and Chicago Bear outfits (made from onesies).  I wonder who will wear what outfit?

Here's some pictures that were taken this morning....

September 24 2003: 24 days old (in Mommy's words) After technical difficulties (mommy's hard drive blew chunks...), we're back with a new hard drive.  I did get the baby pictures and website data off the old hard drive, but having problems with the other 3+ years of pictures.

EVALYNN REPORT....

We went to see Evalynn on Monday to find out that she was still not eating much.  We did talk with the Nurse Practitioner to see what could be done.  She was going to talk to the nurses to try to wake her up more for feedings and was going to contact a speech pathologist to take a look at her.

Well, we went back up this afternoon and asked what the outcome of the speech pathologist was, and the NP said that we didn't need it.  Waking Evalynn up worked!  She had the remainder of her feedings Monday and all but one yesterday via bottle!  At this route, she could be released on Friday.  I'm still not holding my breath.  I'm guessing Saturday, Sunday at the latest.  She weighed 4lbs even when weighed Sunday night and 4lbs, 5oz at her weighing last night.  She is looking so much better.  Not the frail looking baby she was at birth.  I guess I sensed getting some good news today as we took her car seat up with us.  They need to monitor her in her car seat for an hour.  It's a prerequisite to leave.

Evalynn's cord also fell off (noticed it when changing her diaper).  The nurse is guessing it came off on the 21st.  We're still waiting for Elizabeth's to come off.  It should be within the next couple days.  Here's a new picture of Evalynn taken Monday.  She wasn't ready to have this one shot!

Here's another one of her sleeping like her Daddy (hand on forehead)...

Here's a body shot.  This is a preemie outfit she is wearing.

September 26 2003: 26 days old  HOMECOMING DAY!!! We're all together finally!!!  We just got home with Evalynn.  Everything was still up in the air as to when she'd be released.  We just found out at 10:00 this morning and went right down to get her.  Here's the girls' first picture together and the first picture with Mommy and Daddy! Elizabeth is on the left on both pictures.

Here's a picture of Daddy holding Elizabeth and one of Mommy holding Evalynn.

Here we are going home....finally.

Here's Mitzi holding Evalynn for the first time.

September 28 2003: 28 days old  (4 weeks old) We're trying to adjust to two babies.  Last night, Evalynn was awake for most of it.  Evalynn is still on NICU schedule.  Mommy stayed up with her.  I think she had a tummy ache.   We're attempting to have them on the same schedule for feedings (at least within an hour of each other).  It seems to work out.  Mommy takes most of the night feedings and sleeps during the day.  Last night, Mommy was doing dishes at 4am and making Coffee Cake for breakfast.  This works out on weekends when the kids are home.  It's good that Daddy is staying home from work this week.   Mommy will have her work cut out for her when Daddy goes back to work.  Mommy and Evalynn got some real good bonding time last night.

Big brother finally held his sisters yesterday...now he can't get enough of them!

Here's pictures that Mommy has been waiting of...holding both of the babies...  Mommy is trying to prove that she can feed them both at the same time :).

We went to Peoria this afternoon/evening to Uncle John and Aunt Elena's house.    The girls got to meet their cousins, Adam and Drew.  Even though John and Elena visited at the hospital, they finally got to hold the girls for the first time (now we get to dictate who gets to hold our babies!!!).

We took this picture of the girls together when we got home tonight (one of the few shots of them with their eyes open!).  Elizabeth was still a bit hungry, so she wasn't real pleased.  She was trying to suck on Evalynn's hand.  Evalynn was content with snuggling with her sister.

With us being a bit busy around here, we may not be able to update the site as often as we have been.  We will try to get updates out weekly though.

September 29 2003: 29 days old  (Babys' first Packer/Bear game) We went for our first walk this afternoon.  We walked up to the Sweet Shop for lunch and then to the grocery store.  Daddy gave Evalynn her first bath at home.  She has her first Pediatrician appt tomorrow.

(Lizzie is sucking on Lynn's finger)

September 30 2003: 30 days old   Lynn's doctor appt went well.  She's up to 4lbs, 7oz.  She's been getting more exercise here than she did at the hospital, so she hasn't been piling it on as quick as she was.  She can sure eat though.

Mommy doesn't do that bad feeding them both at the same time.  Call it practice for when Daddy goes back to work next week.  Here's proof that Mommy can do it!

Gotta go...someone is hungry!

October 2 2003: 32 days old   The girls slept well last night.  Evalynn went to sleep at 9:30, woke at 2:30, was back in bed at 3:15, up at 6:30 and slept 'till 10:00.  Really, that's not bad for her at night!  Elizabeth was in bed at 10:30, up at 2:30, back in bed at 3:15 and slept 'till 9:00!!!  Mommy got some sleep (8 hours in total!).  I'm not a sound sleeper, so every noise wakes me, even if I don't have to get up for it!

The pediatrician has submitted to the insurance the request for the girls to have the Synagis series of injections.  These injections are started in November and last through April (one per month).  This helps with the risks associated with RSV, which would typically land a baby/child under two years old in the hospital.  Multiples, preemies and those exposed to school aged children are more at risk.  They could get it if they are exposed to anyone with a cold.  If insurance denies the coverage (each injection is $1000---total of $5000 for the entire series), the girls will not get the injections and we'll just need to keep them away from anyone with any illness, especially cold and fever.  This will be done for the girls' safety.  For more information on RSV and why we're so concerned, go to http://www.rsvprotection.com .

We just got notification that the girls' hospital web pictures are uploaded. They didn't have pictures taken until Evalynn was released last week.  Click on the links below to see the picture of each girl.  The hospital also has a web baby area, but they completely messed up with the stats and we got copies of those pictures anyway and we pasted those on Evalynn's homecoming day (9/26).

October 7 2003: 37 days old  (5wks, 2days...Mommy's original due date) Today is the girls' adjusted/gestational birthday.  Since they were 5 weeks premature, their development is calculated according to their adjusted age, which is my due date.  So we took 'birthday' pics this morning, which was not a smooth task.  Elizabeth has been a bit grumpy the last couple days and they have been on opposite schedules.  Mommy only manages a few hours of sleep a day, usually about an hour at a time (two at the most).

Daddy went back to work yesterday after a week off.  This was when the girls decided to be grumpy.  Day two and it hasn't let up yet.  The days of eating and sleeping and repeating are now over, I think.

Here's the pictures.... (Evalynn is on the left).

Gotta go...Lynn is hungry.

October 11 2003: 41 days old  (5wks, 6days) Nights have been rough.  The girls typically get up between 1 and 2 am and at least one of them stay up until around 4am.   Then we're up again by 6 am.  I've resorted to putting them in a bouncer (they get switched between the two bouncers) if they don't fall asleep in the crib.  They have more periods of time where they're awake, so we're trying to make sure that time is later in the evening in hopes of getting them to sleep through the night.

Updates will probably start happening once a week now since I don't have large blocks of time at the computer (at least to do anything two handed).

One thing I will be doing is a page of gifts received.  This will serve as our 'thank you' list as we have no time to be filling out thank you cards and we have received so many gifts.  We also have no addresses.

I did see a shower tip on one of my web groups that was great.  Supply thank you note envelopes to be filled out at the door where the attendee fills in their name and address.  This gets used for a door prize as well as the thank you cards already being addressed and ready to go.

Gotta go...feedin' time again.

Update:  I did do up a quick Thank  You page....

October 21 2003: 51 days old  (7wks, 2days chronological or 2wks adjusted age) Nights are still rough.  The girls are still up between around 2 am.  The time they go to bed varies.  This morning, Lizzie went back to bed at 3 am, but Lynn was up until 6.  Lizzie then got up at 7.  Lizzie did eat 5oz at her 2 am feeding.  Lynn is up to approximately 6 pounds and Lizzie is around 8.  The last couple of days, we've tried putting them in their car seats to sleep (other parents swear by it).  So, this morning, the girls went into their car seats and I put the car seats into the crib.   Lynn did sleep 4.5 hours after putting her into the car seat.

Lizzie is out of newborn diapers and into size 1.  Lynn is out of preemie diapers and going through Lizzie's old newborn diapers.  They are also in two different sizes of clothes.  Lynn is still in preemie and Lizzie is in newborn or  0-3 months.  I'm trying to find Christmas dresses in two different sizes (3 mo and 6 mo).  Not a fun task.

Both girls started focusing on objects and reaching for them during the last week.

I ventured to the mall with the girls yesterday by myself.   It was brief.  I needed to pick up my new glasses.  Once done their, we went to State Farm to meet Daddy and to introduce the girls to co-workers.

The girls went to their first CAP meeting last Tuesday.  They were the center of attention.  Twelve more years until they can become cadets :) .  They're honorary mascots until then.

Sorry on the delays of getting updates out.  Things are busy, busy, busy!!!

October 22 2003: 52 days old  (7wks, 3days chronological or 2wks,1day adjusted age) Not to jinx anything, but last night wasn't too bad.  I have the car seats set up in the crib.  Lynn went to bed around 11:30, woke at 3 am, down at 3:30, back up at 6:30, down at 7:30 and back up at 10:30.  Lizzie went down at 1:30am (I guess she wanted to help mom get bottles ready for today), woke at 7:00, down at 7:30 and back up at 11:00.  I learned with Lizzie that when she screams in the middle of the night, feed her.  She now likes around 5 oz at night.  I don't get too much more sleep (I'm now used to them waking frequently), but at least they are!  The next step is to make it consistent.  I also heard from other preemie moms to go by their adjusted age when it comes to the amount of sleep, so they're sleeping like 2 weekers.

We ordered holiday dresses last night.  Actually they're more like winter dresses.  I have issues spending at least $40 on a dress they'll wear once.  So, we bought dresses and cardigans they'll be able to wear throughout the winter.

RSV Protection update:  I mentioned a few weeks ago that we were trying to get approval for the series of injections to help protect against RSV.  Well, I received a call from our prescription insurance carrier, who mentioned that our insurance only pays for half of the cost of the injection.  Again, this is another case where the insurance will pay 100% of the hospital cost if you were to land there, but only pays half for something that could prevent you from landing there to begin with....sorry...started venting.  I was then told that there are a couple different costs with the injections all depending on the baby's weight.  The cheapest is around $1000 per injection (there are 5 monthly injections).  Our cost would be $500 per injection.  For a greater amount of the injection, it will cost approximately $2300 per injection (Yikes!).  Our cost for that would be $1250 per injection (per child).  So, we've decided to take our chances as this is way too expensive for us.  For the health of Evalynn and Elizabeth, if you or your children have a cold (including the sniffles)--allergies excluded, please delay stopping by until the illness has passed or let us know before going near the girls.  We do carry around hand sanitizer in the diaper bag and all over the house that must be used prior to handling the girls.  We really hope you understand that this is only for the safety of the girls as we really want to prevent having them back in the hospital.

October 24 2003: 54 days old  (7wks, 5days chronological or 2wks,3days adjusted age) I'm still trying not to jinx anything,  but they both slept from 11:30 pm to 4:45 am!!!!  Too bad Mommy's bladder is still not back to normal!  Hopefully the good nights will last.  I'm guessing Daddy does since he has night duty the next two nights!

I took Halloween pictures yesterday.  Even with red-eye protection on the camera, we still have lots of those red-eye shots.  I'm going to try to retake some soon, but these are the best pictures (Lizzie is in stripes).

October 27 2003: 57 days old  (8wks, 1day chronological or 2wks,6days adjusted age) I jinxed it... They slept lousy all weekend.

Lynn had her repeat head sono today.  They questioned why the doc wanted one.  It was more or less because he wanted it just to make sure everything looked ok.  He wanted to make sure that there was no evidence of a brain bleed that occurs with preemies.  They said that everything looked great.  That was our last Urbana trip!!!

I'm officially a stay at home mom (SAHM).  My medical leave was up today, which allowed me to give my resignation.

I'm off to finish dinner.

October 29 2003: 59 days old  (8wks, 3days chronological or 3wks,1days adjusted age) Sleeping has improved again.  I found that it's easier if they're fed in their car seats at night.  Last night they slept from 9 to 2 and then from 3 to 6.

I found some baby pictures of Michael and I.  Hmmm, do either of them look like us?  Daddy's picture is first, followed by Mommy's.

Many are saying that the girls (especially Elizabeth) looks like Mitzi.  Here's her baby picture (10 days old):

I'll have to get pictures taken in some of Mitzi's old dresses (I kept the special ones).

October 31 2003: 61 days old  (8wks, 5days chronological or 3wks,3days adjusted age) Happy Halloween!!!  I took some more pictures in their Halloween outfits.  This time, Lynn is in the stripes!

I'm going to change things a bit with the journal.  I'm going to have a link to the past two months to shorten the journal page.  I'll do that every two months.
