Welcome to Evalynn and Elizabeth's journal! We were born on August 31, 2003 at 34 weeks, 5 days gestation. Our due date was October 7th, so we were a bit over 5 weeks early. Select the links below to get quickly to the section of your choice. Thanks for visiting.
Can you believe we're into year three?! We are going have fun watching them develop into independent individuals over the coming year.
Many pictures are posted out here. Prior to posting the pictures, I shrink them down to approximately 300 pixels to save space on the web server (we're only given so much space). If you're wanting original sized pictures, please email us, letting us know which picture you'd like and we will email the original to you.

December 2, 2005: 27 months, 1day
Mommy, Danny and Mitzi have been busy making ornaments for the Christmas tree. We decided not to put our other ornaments on since most are breakable. We have problems keeping Mr. Nermal off the tree. Mommy is almost done with the new tree top.
We got our first snowfall early yesterday morning. We only got a couple inches, but there's more to come this weekend. Can you believe we were just talking about the heat? Be careful what you wish for! I think we may be needing winter boots. Mommy was kind-of waiting to see what would happen since last year they only wore their snowsuits a couple times.
The girls learned how to get out of their room. Mitzi found them out Wednesday morning. Also, instead of napping, they'll get out. Mommy is not ready for them to discontinue naps!!!! We still get new words every day. Liz tries to discipline Lynn when she gets into something she's not supposed to be in by running up to her and saying "no touch Lynnie!" She also signs it at the same time.
Here's a few pictures...
Thanksgiving dinner (Odie is on standby)...

They pulled their chairs in front of the tree to watch the lights...

More in front of the tree.

December 7, 2005: 27 months, 7 days
Well, we're a bit frozen here. We hit -4 this morning. We get a little bit more snow every other day. Tomorrow, we're expecting another 3-5 inches.
Sleeping has been a nightmare the last week. They've both learned how to leave their room and take forever to get to sleep. So, after three or four potty trips (everytime they come out, they say they have to potty), they finally fall asleep. The last two nights, they've been up until at least 10 pm. They're usually asleep by 8. So, it sounds like we're hitting another phase.
Here's how Mitzi and I found Lynnie while she was supposed to be napping...

Needless to say, that bookcase has been removed...
We went to the parade of lights uptown Saturday night. Mommy wasn't going to attempt it since Lynn already had a meltdown when the fireworks went off, but decided to go over to see Santa. Mrs. Claus tried luring Liz over by holding the bag...she ran, grabbed the bag and ran off. It was cold and snowy. Daddy was off on ambulance runs. Mommy left Daddy the van so he could get home. We decided to wheel home in the snow. The girls had a blast to sliding around in the stroller and kept saying 'whee'.

All that watching Lynn climb on everything business got tiring :).

Lynn was on top of their play kitchen *deep sigh*. All Mommy could do was put her head down and ask 'Why?'.
December 19, 2005: 27 months, 18 days
Sorry there's been no posting lately. We've been busy getting ready for Christmas and Daddy had surgery last Friday (Dec 16th).
We had a Christmas celebration in Beloit on the 11th at Aunt Marjorie and Uncle Ernie's house. Aunt Patty, Grandma Wilson, Grandma and Grandpa Jerry and Great Grandma Howe were all there. Mommy forgot the camera so, we got to try out Marjorie and Ernie's new digital camera. Mommy is still going through the pictures and will try to get those out this week.
Daddy's surgery went fine. He had bilateral varicocele reduction surgery. Feel free to do a Google search to find out more. The surgery was done under general anesthetic. There were a few issues that mainly agitated Mommy. Daddy was given more pain medication than he could tolerate, so it took him a twice the time to come out of it and made him sick. He's sore and trying not to get jumped on and run into. He cannot lift the girls. They can sit on his lap as long as they don't start poking and wiggle around. There's only so much you can explain to two year olds. He goes back to work Friday, so they'll get spoiled having Daddy around.

Merry Christmas from all of us!
The kids all had a fun Christmas. The girls received lots of gifts...some things they received were: Doodle Pro's, Playdoh/accessories, dress-up trunk, play shoes, gloves, Leap pads, Dora dolls, doctor kits, lots of books, travel blankets and pillows.
We went to John and Elena's Christmas Eve for dinner and gift opening. We spent Christmas Day at home for the first time ever! Mommy roasted a duck (for the first time) and the fixings. It was great to see the kids play with their gifts instead of quickly opening gifts, then leaving right away for the next destination. The kids normally didn't get to see their gifts until the 26th.
Here are some pictures taken over the last few weeks...

Buh Bye '05!

Marjorie and Ernie are coming down for dinner and whatever else we decide to do. Nope, we're not keeping the girls up to see midnight. Who knows, maybe mommy and daddy won't make it either.
