Welcome to Evalynn and Elizabeth's journal!  We were born on August 31, 2003 at 34 weeks, 5 days gestation.  Our due date was October 7th, so we were a bit over 5 weeks early.  Select the links below to get quickly to the section of your choice.  Thanks for visiting.

Can you believe we're into year three?!  We are going have fun watching them develop into independent individuals over the coming year.

Many pictures are posted out here.  Prior to posting the pictures, I shrink them down to approximately 300 pixels to save space on the web server (we're only given so much space).  If you're wanting original sized pictures, please email us, letting us know which picture you'd like and we will email the original to you.

Buh Bye '05!

Marjorie and Ernie are coming down for dinner and whatever else we decide to do.  There's no real plan.  Nope, we're not keeping the girls up to see midnight.  Who knows, maybe mommy and daddy won't make it either.

Sorry there's been no posts lately.  Mommy has been focused in starting her home sewing business.  Click here for more information on WillisLand Crafts, Sewing & Alterations.  Mommy made us these dresses last night.

Their Easter dresses will be similar, but Mommy will incorporate a couple changes from lessons learned.  The first thing they did after the dresses were put on, was start dancing and twirling.  It was so cute!  Mommy is going to put zippers in the back of these dresses.  It's a little hard to pull over their heads and even harder to take off.  We were achieving for pullover dresses.

Daddy is done with his EMT-Basic class!!! Overall, he finished with a 96%!  His last class was on January 4th.  Lizzie said her first complete sentence just before Daddy left for the last class...  "Daddy, don't go bye-bye...please!"  The please was more like pleeeeeaaaase!  Mommy thought it was cute and noted the milestone.  Daddy wasn't as happy and felt bad that he had to go.  Daddy took the National EMT-B certification test last Tuesday in East Peoria.  It could take anywhere from three to six weeks to get the results back.  Daddy is anxiously waiting.

The weather lately has been great.  We cannot expect anything better for January!  Last Sunday, we had a high close to 60 degrees!  We spent lots of time outside and Daddy made his famous hamburgers on the grill!  How often can you grill out in January?

Mommy has been busy trying to keep us out of trouble.  She's also in the process of making bridesmaid dresses.

We've been getting into lots of mischief lately.  We like to take down clothes from the closet.  Mommy walks into us trying on ALL of our dresses (and stripping completely down to do it).  Last Friday we decided to start bath water while Mommy was retrieving clothes from the dryer.  Lynnie was found standing in the hot water fully clothed (Thank God Mommy and Daddy turned the hot water heater down!!!)  Mommy nearly had a heart attack when she went in there.  So, the doorknob cover went back onto the bathroom door.  We've also found a way to get to our top bunk without the ladder by standing on the safety rail.  Mommy had to move our play kitchen to the dining room as Lynnie kept getting stuck on top of it as well as strategically moving it around to reach things really high.

New words are said everyday.  Liz will repeat everything we say.  For example, Nermal is now...Stupid Cat...especially when he attempts to jump into the bathtub.  First you see a cat flying from the bathroom which is then followed by...Stupid Cat!  Lynn is a bit hard to understand sometimes.  She talks faster.  It seems that she has a bit of an accent.  Daddy is pronounced Dad-day real fast...  Liz does most of the talking.

They've both had colds over the last week.  They're improving now.

Mitzi's 12th birthday was last Friday.  She's now eligible to join Civil Air Patrol.  She's really excited!  Dan will probably be starting driving school at the end of February.  That involves driving to Bloomington Monday's thru Thursdays for four weeks.  He can get his permit after the second class.  We should have no problem with him getting his 25 hours parental driving time!!!

Daddy found out last Friday that he passed his EMT-Basic test!!!  We're just waiting for his license number so he can be an official EMT.

We bought the kitties something to hopefully distract them away from places they shouldn't be.  Didn't know it would help the kids too...

February 17, 2006: 29 months, 17 days

Sickness hit our house, well at least half of it (praying the other half doesn't get it).  It started with Liz last Friday night.  We took her to Convenient Care Sunday morning as she got to the point where she couldn't hold her head up.  Of course, after that, she started bouncing back.  She was back to normal by Tuesday.  By that time, Mitzi and Daddy were the next victims.  Daddy missed work most of the week.  They're both now back to normal.  So far, so good for Lynn, Dan and Mommy. *knock on wood* Lynn didn't know what to do with herself when Liz was sick.  She was so used to always being able to play with her sister, but her sister didn't feel like playing.  Whatever this sickness is, it's lasting three to four days.

Mommy's embroidery machine came in yesterday, so everyone's had fun watching Mommy play with it.  The old digital camera was starting to die, so we had to get a new camera (can't live without those anymore).  We were close to the 10,000 picture point with the old camera over four years.  Mommy is also trying to get used to a newer, more sensitive and smaller camera.  We'll try to get some pictures if we can get a couple girls to sit still for a few minutes.

So, that's about it here.

Knock on wood...we're all well...for now.  Mommy was able to get some pictures.

Now, for a realistic pose...

This picture is of them trying out their new fleece blanket and pillowcases.  Mommy sewed the edges for two blankets and had enough for pillowcases.  Now they have a blanket that fits their bed.  The blue blanket is for the top bunk.

Here's Lizzie snuggling with Baby Kitty (she's not sleeping...just posing)...

February 28, 2006: 30 months

Can you believe these two will be THREE in six months???!!!

First flu, now colds...Liz seems to be getting struck with the whammy's this year!

Daddy is still waiting for his EMT license...there was an issue where the national EMS registry has been destroying all of the registration cards that are supposed to be sent to Illinois to have the Illinois license processed.  It is too bad three year olds are less childish.  It's also too bad that this vengeful act is at the cost of so many people that worked so hard and are eager to get help the public.  He should have had his license at least three weeks ago!

Danny started driving school yesterday.  He gets his permit tomorrow.  His class is every Monday thru Thursday evenings until March 23rd.  Then, we continue to practice until his birthday September 6th.

Mommy took some pictures last week...

Lynn crashed on the couch around 6 pm last Tuesday (they refused a nap).  Liz was checking her for a fever.

So peaceful...She did not stay that way for very long...Liz didn't like that she was sleeping and woke her up.

I was taking a picture of the apron I embroidered.  Lynn jumped right into the picture!

Liz modeling the apron...the design was a bit off, so I'm looking for a similar design for the other apron.
